Yang Guoheng, a special professor of the Chinese East Master Changjiang, a member of the Fifth and Sixth Philosophy Evaluation of the Academic Committee of the National Academy of Sciences, an academician of the International Academy of Philosophy (IIP), and vice president of the International Chinese Philosophy History Association (ISCP); and chairman of the Shanghai Chinese and Western Philosophy and Civilization Seminar. His works include: “Comprehensive of Wang Xue”, “Thoughts of the Heart”, “The Journey of Good”, “The World of Thoughts in the Brahma”, “Taoism”, “Legend and Existence”, “Realization and Becoming a Self and Becoming Things”, etc. There are more than 100 articles published in domestic and foreign academic journals such as “China Social Sciences”, “Philosophy Research”, and “Philosophy: East and West”.

 

“Thinking Weekly”Reporter:How did you embark on the path of philosophy? How many stages can I divide my academic history into?

 

Yang Guorong:My path to governanceIt started with the Huadong Masters’ Famous School. From 1978 to 1988, I received a doctorate in philosophy from the head teacher of Rong Qi. After spending 10 years of studying at the Huadong University, I stayed at school to teach. Recalling the learning scene at that time, his contact with Master Feng was not very frequent, and his academic works were still his academic works. Although many of his works were not officially published at that time, they were printed as mimeographs and distributed to us, including “The Logical Development of Modern Chinese Philosophy” and “The Certification of Logical Thoughts”. These manuscripts are the crystallization of many years of philosophy thought by Mr. Rong. They not only provide us with specific knowledge in philosophical history and philosophical theory, but also show a research vision and method – maintaining the unity of historical assessment and theoretical development. This journey has always affected my future philosophical thinking and research. Learning without Chinese and Western learning, history and thinking unity, and the integration of “metaphysical” and “under the body” has always been my governance concept.

 

From the beginning of the research and development stage, Chinese philosophy history has become my profession. In the field of Chinese philosophy history, my research and discussion starts with classical philosophy. The Philosophical History Research is not just about history, but about mastering the original thinking circle, reinventing the wisdom of the modern predecessor, and providing theoretical resources for tomorrow’s philosophical thinking. Since the 1980s of the last century, the scope I have studied includes pre-Qin Shuzi, Han Dynasty Confucianism, Wei Xuanxue, Song and Ming Technological Sciences, etc. The ones that have put a lot of effort into it are Confucianism and Science. In the early 1990s of the last century, I published two books about Confucianism, “The New Commentary on Mencius” and “The Journey of Goodness”, and made more specific assessments and thoughts about Confucianism from the perspective of value. Mon-modern philosophy is also a major area that I pay attention to. I pay more attention to combining the case study of characters and the discussion of thoughts. As far as the trend of thought is concerned, I have paid attention to the willism, the proof and the scientific theory, and I have made some comments on it.The system’s discussion is about the proof theory and scientific theory. “The proof theory and Modern Chinese Philosophy” and “The Metaphysical Vision of Science – The Structure and Evolution of Modern Scientific Issues” are both research results on this field. What I want to emphasize here is that without library software is a study of classical philosophy or a focus on modern philosophy, Eastern philosophy should be the main landscape and reference. In other words, it is necessary to have a world philosophy perspective. Wang Guowei and others have long proposed an explanation of learning Chinese and Western. I believe that in philosophy research, we must also have this vision, and we must use a relatively open vision to treat the various wisdoms accumulated in the development of human civilization, so as to achieve the integration of Chinese and Western cultures.

 

From the end of the last century, my focus has begun to shift to philosophical theory, and the important side is on the issues of lexicon, metaphysics, the world of meaning, and practical philosophy. In 2002, I published the book “Lexicon and Existence”. Afterwards, I made several thoughts on the philosophical theory in a broader sense, and successively published works such as “Taoism”, “Achievement of Oneself and Things”, and “Human Actions and Practice”. In this process, we briefly crossed and returned to history and published the book “The World of Thoughts in the World of Brave”, etc. The test pictures are the unity of philosophical history and philosophical research.

Yang Guorong:In ordinary meaning, philosophy always faces the basic problems of people and the world, such as the influence of capital, power, technology on modern society and people, and gives various responses to this need. These problems cannot be solved by using knowledge to experience, and they require philosophical thinking. Philosophy and discrepancy solves specific problems, but it can lead peopleWe focus on and think about the common problems of people and the world, making the entire society and people’s own existence more in line with humanity.

Yang Guorong:Follow the roots and explore the world of philosophy without opening up. In my opinion, the discussion of the world of meaning should be considered along the way with the problems of “becoming oneself” (knowing oneself and becoming oneself) and “becoming oneselfFemale College Students’ Care Club” (knowing oneself and changing oneself) in Chinese traditional philosophy. The human existence process not only faces the problem of forming itself, but also the problem of forming the world. The “presence” of oneself and the common existence of others should not be separated from each other. Only by putting it above the foundation of the world itself and the foundation, the meaning problem has real meaning. In this regard, “becoming things” is to create an environment that is more in line with humanitarian development. In this regard, “becoming things” is not the goal, but the process of “becoming things” cannot be separated from “becoming things”. Otherwise, it will be difficult to avoid tendency to abstraction.
